Hastings & Battle bid to be City of Culture 2017

Hastings and the wider 1066 area has submitted their bid to be the 2017 UK City of Culture. Along with the usual artistic festivals and events,  a 300 mile march from Stamford Bridge to Battle is planned to commemorate the 951st anniversary of the Battle of Hastings.
